Distance / Maurten / Beinghunted. – The Long Run
In June 2022, during Paris Fashion Week, Beinghunted. came together with Distance Athletics and Maurten for The Long Run, a community run held under the slogan For All Runners. The idea was to celebrate the long run itself, the weekly ritual that anchors most runners’ training, and to bring people together to do it. The turnout in Paris was strong, and everyone who took part went home with a finisher sweatshirt designed by Distance Athletics.
Beinghunted. handled the organisation and produced the project’s visual side: a set of photographs and an atmospheric film that captured the early light and the quiet enthusiasm of the runners. The assets were made to live on social and to carry the project beyond the day itself.
The project came from a simple belief shared by the three partners: that running and creative work go well together, and that one supports the other. The long run is the workout that gets hardest to protect as life gets busier, which is exactly why it felt worth celebrating. The Long Run was a passion project the partners had worked on for a long time, a way to put that belief into practice, bring the community together, and show up in person in Paris during a busy week. It worked because it was a genuine community run rather than a branded event that happened to carry three names.
