Exploring Dr. Martens’ Long-Standing Cultural Legacy

In May 2024, we joined Dr. Martens in celebrating the relaunch of their iconic sandals. Dr. Martens’ appeal famously spans far and wide. From the mosh pit to the post-rave chill-out lounge, the 1460 boot to the mule.

For the relaunch, we took the occasion to dive further into the brand’s history. Specifically, its long-lasting and undeniable legacy within a plethora of music genres and its continuous impact on pop culture.

With that as the foundation, we created a one-day-only exhibition consisting of decades of archive imagery and a lounge installation to embody the brand’s transition through cultural flows and how it helped shape the aesthetics of movements worldwide.
